In light of the recent United States Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, I felt reinvigorated to share music that challenges us to question, resist, and break down the profoundly unjust systems in America and beyond that were never built for the vast majority of us in the first place.

So, in the spirit of sending a very special “fuck you” to the Supreme Court, let’s (continue to) explore some tracks that fight the powers that be.

Note: Part I of this series can be found here. In this specific moment in American history, I want to give a particular shoutout to the song “La Femme Fetal” by Digable Planets from this original list — a song calling out the hypocrisy of pro-lifers.
